Word From Our Founder

As a retired military officer who has trained and practiced for the violence of war, I wanted to find a technology for civilians, military personnel, and law enforcement/security professionals that provides a unique and nonlethal way to extend their lives if they were injured. These products, the AID and PET, listed on the website and links elsewhere on the website, alert a large number of people if the AID wearer is shot or stabbed, and do it in under ten (10!) seconds. This speeds the response of first responders to reach them and render aid during the critical first hour after injury. When a victim of violence gets aid within that “golden hour” their chances of survival and drastically better recovery are vastly improved.

After starting my active-duty career supporting US and allied ground troops from the air, and by deploying within ground units, I recognized the threats these brave souls faced in the evolving battlespace. I was fortunate enough to fly forward air control and then attack aircraft in many places around the world, and on active duty and then the Reserves before transitioning to a staff officer position at a major US Combatant Command.

In conjunction with my transition to the Air Force Reserves, I became a pilot for a major US airline, gathering another perspective on risk/reward calculations. I then invented and patented two devices for the home goods market, gaining valuable personal experience in innovation and small business structures. This experience made me recognize the value of the AID which transforms a current bullet resistant vest into a smart vest, and PET technology with its benefits to the immediate needs of individuals working or living in dangerous areas. I continue to look for innovation and new ideas that would protect people so BTPD can change the world of security for an enormous number of people.
